Early voting for the runoff for the Village of Natchez mayor and 1 percent school board tax renewal will begin Saturday, April 16 through Saturday, April 23 from 8:30 am. to 6 p.m. (closed Sunday, April 17) in the Registrar of Voters Office inside the Court House at 200 Church St.
Absentee voting by mail is intended for voters who will be out the parish on election day and at he week of early voting, or if the person is over 65, or has a mobility impaired ID card. Deadline to make a written request for an absentee ballot by mail is April 26 at 4:30 p.m. Written request forms can be downloaded at www.sos.la.gov under “Elections” click on the VOTE link: click on “VOTE BY MAIL” on application to vote by mail.
Your written request must include voters name, Natchitoches parish address, date of birth, Social Security or drivers license number, reason the ballot is being requested election date of April 30, 2022, address to where ballot is to be mailed and voter signature.
Ballots must be returned to the Registrar of Voters Office by mail by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29. Military and overseas ballots must be returned to the Registrar of Voters Office by mail or by fax before noon election day.
