Graveside service for Mrs. Irene Nelms Foshee will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.
Irene was born Aug. 31, 1935, in Natchitoches and passed away April 14, 2022, at her residence in Vowells Mill at the age of 86.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lloyd Foshee; her parents, Edgar Lee Nelms and Hazel Marie Duren Nelms; sister, Eloise Honeycutt; and brother, Edgar Nelms.
She is survived by a brother, Billy Nelms and wife Claudia of Tyler, Texas; nephews, Delmer Rigsby and wife Nancy of Converse, Tony Honeycutt of Stonewall, Douglas Foshee of Taos, N.M., David Rigsby and wife Ethel of Mitchell, La., Michael Foshee of Dallas, Richard Nelms of Tyler, Aubrey Nelms of Boise, Idaho, and Lynn Nelms of Tyler; and nieces, Bonnie Rivers and husband Michael of Converse and Elaine Foshee of Dallas.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Greg Howell, Gary Howell, Alex Ragan, Jacob Johnson, James Calhoun and Irvin Slaughter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Delmer Rigsby, Michael Foshee, David Rigsby, Michael Rivers and Billy Nelms.
