The qualifier allows teams from across the USA to compete for an opportunity to fish in the world’s richest crappie tournament — the Mr. Crappie $300,000 Invitational on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Mo., Oct. 20-22.
“I am excited that our Commissioners have committed to bring the Mr. Crappie franchise back to the Red River,” said Marketing Director for the Red River Waterway Commission Eric Gilmore. “The 2021 Crappie Expo in Shreveport was a historic event and to be able to bring this event and these anglers to another part of the Red River is great for our community. The economic impact of these events is tremendous for our community. The Red River Waterway Commission has sponsored the biggest events in the fishing world, and the Mr. Crappie Qualifier continues the Commission’s commitment to the economic and recreational development of the Red River District.”
