Kiwanis Club donates coats

Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches donated coats to the school board. From left are Kiwanis Secretary Craig Caskey, Cle’Lie Aubin, Anita Dubois, NPSB Superintendent Dr. Grant Eloi, and Kiwanis President Kaitlyn Hamm.

The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches donated 30 coats and sweaters to the Natchitoches Parish School Board Friday. Bank of Montgomery, City Bank and Waskom Brown were drop off locations. C & L Cleaners cleaned these coats at a largely discounted price.
Kiwanis is accepting donations for their Arbor Day sustainability service project. Kiwanis is partnered with local boy scout, Koda Deblieux, on his Eagle Scout project. He is a senior at Natchitoches Central and is collecting 500 pounds of plastic items that he will send to a company called Trex. Trex will turn these items into a bench that Deblieux will then donate to Natchitoches Central.

Please see the attached photo for examples of what types of plastic he needs and where to drop off your donations. Deblieux and Kiwanis will collect donations until the end of May.
Kiwanis is an organization of volunteers that dedicates their time and efforts to serving kids and making their local communities better places to live. If interested in being a part of this effort, email for more information. The club meets every Thursday at noon in the Legacy Room at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center.
