Barker sentenced to 30 years in death of infant son

May 4, 2022 – Hannah Barker has been sentenced in the burning death of her infant son, Levi Ellerby, age 6 months, to 30 years on the count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and 10 years on the count of manslaughter.

The sentences are to run concurrent with credit for time served since she was arrested in July 2018.

Judge Desiree Duhon Dyess presided over the hearing. Barker was defended by J. Dhu Thompson. District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington and Cliff Strider represented the prosecution for the State.

The plea agreement included no parole or probation.

Felicia Smith has already pled guilty to charges tied to the case. She will be sentenced later this afternoon.
