Felicia Smith sentenced to 80 years in prison for her part in infant’s death


Felicia Nicole Smith was sentenced by Judge Desiree Dyess in District Court just before 3 p.m. today.
Smith pled guilty in November 2021.
Judge Dyess sentenced Smith to 40 years for manslaughter with no opportunity for probation, parole or suspension of sentence and received credit for time served.
Smith was sentenced to 30 years at hard labor for conspiracy to commit first degree murder and 10 years for cruelty to a juvenile.
All sentences are to run consecutively for a total of 80 years in prison.
She was remanded into custody following the sentencing.
