Lily Anna Sklar has been awarded a scholarship from the Louisiana Bankers Education Council. She is a senior at St. Mary’s Catholic School and the recipient of a $1,000 Louisiana Bankers Education Council Scholarship. Each fall, LBEC offers cash scholarships to incoming freshmen who have at least one parent employed with a bank or if the student is employed with a bank in Louisiana. The students must enroll in an accredited Louisiana college or university with a declared major in a banking-related field. Sklar, the daughter of Paul and Krista Sklar of Natchitoches, will attend Louisiana Tech University in Ruston and major in accounting.
