6 arrested after disturbance Saturday afternoon


Natchitoches Police Department officers were dispatched Saturday, May 7 at 7:02 p.m. to the 1100 block of Highland Park Drive in reference to a disturbance. While officers were heading to Highland Park Police Communication Officers notified them that several gunshots were fired in the area. Officers made contact with several witnesses who said Brittany Slaughter, b/f, 25, of Natchitoches, fired several shots and hid the firearm inside a vehicle.
Officers were given consent to search the vehicle and located a .357 Magnum handgun that was reported stolen through the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of their investigation:
•Brittany Slaughter was arrested for Discharging a Firearm within the City Limits of Natchitoches.
•Marcus Slaughter, b/m, 42, was arrested for Interference with Officers.
•Sonya Slaughter, b/f, 46, was arrested for Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
•Christian Pikes, b/m, 24, was arrested for Remaining After Being Forbidden.
•Dorian Hardison, b/m, 21, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting.
•Trevon Reed, b/m, 23, was arrested for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting.
All subjects are Natchitoches residents.
