NPD arrests several convicted felons for being in possession of a firearm

Natchitoches Police Department’s ASP Unit conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Keyser Avenue and Jefferson Street Sunday, May 8 at 1:09 a.m. While speaking with the driver and occupants, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. Officers asked the driver and occupants to exit the vehicle and located an AM-15 Multi-Cal rifle.
As a result of the traffic stop:
•Corteze King, b/m, 21, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Traffic Control Signals.

BRYAN KING

•Bryan King, b/m, 34, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Marijuana.
KOURTNEY KING

•Kourtney King, b/m, 24, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
JOSHUA DEONTA DEMARS

•Joshua Demars, b/m, 22, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
LEWIS A DEMARS

•Lewis Demars, b/m, 21, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
All are Natchitoches residents.
All five men were placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
