Randy Sanderson was born Aug. 10, 1954, in Decatur, Ill.
He proudly served in the United States Army for four years.
In 1977 he married the love of his life, Peggy Woodel Sanderson, and they have been faithfully devoted to one another for 44 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Harriet Sanderson, and a brother, Jim Sanderson.
He repaired computers for 20 years. He always said the best part of his life was his family, especially his two sons, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. He loved fellowship with his church family at Central Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and loved talking with people. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, even through the brown bag years. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, whether it was playing for hours or a trip to the store, she held a special place in her Papa’s heart. She was his heart, pride and joy and the love he held for her was undeniable. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A service to honor his life will be at noon Friday, June 3 at Central Baptist Church in Robeline. Interment will follow at Central Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home and again Friday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
