The celebration of life for Deacon Horn, 105, will include a wake/visitation in the Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Natchitoches, Friday, June 17 from 6-8 p.m. The celebration will continue with a Homegoing Service in the chapel Saturday, June 18 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in the Vowells Mill Community.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Calvin Horn and Lola Wilson Horn; his wife, Luemmer Bilberry Horn; children, Donnie, Sibley and Silvie, all who died in infancy, Maggie Payton, Seab Horn Jr., George Horn and Hazel Brown; and siblings, Mary Oliphant, Landora Robinson and Jethro Horn.
Those who survive him and will long treasure his dear memory are Jethro Horn of Kansas City, Kan., Lola Garner (Lester) of Provencal, Harvey Horn (Carolyn) of Magnolia, Miss., Frankie Horn (Retha) of Kansas City, Kan., Willie Horn (Janet) of Kansas City, Eddie Horn (Susan) of Provencal and Deborah Reliford (Edwin) of Marrero; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
