Goldonna man succumbs to injuries suffered in crash


Crash Update

A Goldonna man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash on North Goodwill Street in Goldonna Monday afternoon according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Natchitoches Parish Asst. Coroner Steven Clanton contacted the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office reporting that Clyde Harris Carter, 55, of Goldonna was pronounced dead July 6 at approximately 4:59 p.m. at Rapides Regional Medical Center.

This marks the first traffic fatality in the City Limits of Goldonna in 2022.
The crash remains under investigation.

A Goldonna man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash July 4.
At approximately 5:07 p.m., Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Goldonna Police, Natchitoches Parish Fire District #2, District #9 Rescue, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS, LSP Troop E and the Goldonna Town Marshal responded to NATCOM 911 Center reports of a crash with possible entrapment near the 1400 block of North Goodwill Street in Goldonna.
Firefighters freed the victim from the wreckage.
The 55-year-old Goldonna man was operating a 1991 Toyota pickup truck was traveling southbound on North Goodwill Street when he exited the road on the left side causing the vehicle to overturn and come to a rest on it’s top against a tree.
Air EVAC LifeTeam helicopter was dispatched to a landing zone set up at Goldonna School and the victim was airlifted to an Alexandria hospital with serious injuries.
The crash investigation is continuing by Goldonna Police with the assistance of LSP Troop-E.
The name of the victim is not currently being released.
