A water aerobics class will be offered by Northwestern State University‚Äôs Office of Electronic and Continuing Education beginning Tuesday, Aug. 2.
The 60-minute class will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 2-4 and 9-11. The fee is $29.
Using the unique properties of the water, this class provides a fun and challenging workout designed to increase your heart rate, strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and enhance endurance. Water aerobics meets the demands of the most skilled movers and is gentle enough on the joints for those seeking a low impact alternative.

The Natchitoches Parish Fair and Rodeo pageant will be Sunday, Aug. 14 at 4 p.m. iin Magale Recital Hall on NSU’s campus. Categories are Baby Miss, Toddler Miss, Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Petite Miss, Junior Miss, Teen Miss and Miss. All categories will participate in the casual wear portion of the pageant, which will be the Western or Fair Wear portion. Junior, Teen and Miss contestants will compete in formal wear/evening gown. Miss contestants will receive a $1,000 cash scholarship from the fair board.
