Stephens charged with aggravated arson

Investigators with the Natchitoches Police Department and the Natchitoches Fire Department arrested Billy Stephens Jr. for an aggravated arson at J.W. Thomas Apartments last month.
Stephens Jr. was arrested without incident and placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.

The Natchitoches Fire Department is asking the public for assistance in locating Billy Stephens Jr., 58, b/m, 184 pounds, 5’11”. On June 28 the Natchitoches Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Natchitoches Thomas Apartments. While the NFD was fighting the fire, a witness told investigators that Billy Stephens Jr. intentionally set a basket of blankets on fire after he was told to leave the apartment. Stephens then fled the area.
