The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office welcomes our newest member to the team, Narcotics Drug Detection K-9 Deputy Roka according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.

Roka, a 2-year-old belgium malinois certified in the detection of illegal narcotics will join her partner and handler, Deputy Adam Llorence patrolling highways and communities in Natchitoches Parish.

Roka will be utilized during narcotics-related traffic stops, narcotics search warrants, school searches, demonstrations and patrol and narcotics investigations.

Roka and Deputy Llorence recently attended an intensive 2-week training course at K-9 Concepts in Scott, La.

They are required to attend frequent training and yearly certifications.
