John did heavy construction work in steel plants, coal plants, electric plants, etc. John was a Boy Scout leader in the 80s and 90s in which he held positions as Committee Chairman and Assistant Scout Leader. He went on hikes, canoe trips and other adventures with the Scouts, which he participated in with his sons. He loved his granddaughters and delighted in doing many things with them. He loved pushing them on a tire swing, taking them fishing, riding them on the 4-wheeler and even decorating his utility trailer like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer at Christmas time so he could pull the trailer all over the farm with the girls. His granddaughters called him Paw Paw and he will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to Dr. Ajaya Tummela and his staff for their excellent care for the last five years, and to his doctors, Martin Carter and Sean Troxclair. In recent weeks, he was hospitalized at Specialty Rehabilitative Hospital in Coushatta. Their staff was very caring.
Pallbearers will be his sons, Christopher and Bryan Foster, Dr. Sean Troxclair, James and Michael Foster, and Ashton Poole.
