The Tigers are hotter than a summer day in Louisiana! 4A Peabody High School of Alexandria was no match for St. Mary’s at their annual Pink-Out game as they fell 58-6 to give the Tigers their seventh win of the season.
One aspect of the game that left everyone speechless was the stunning touchdown streak made by #11 Ethan Busby. With five touchdowns made throughout the game, Busby helped the team go above and beyond any expectations set for them. However, a crucial factor in his success can be attributed to the ethereal connection between him and his QB, #10 Adam Parker. With Parker aiding on four of the five touchdowns, the two reiterated their power as a dynamic duo.
Strong plays were also made from RB Joe Metoyer as he secured a 1-yard run for a touchdown as well as freshman Tucker Johnson sealing the deal for the last touchdown of the game.
Even after a shaky start, kicker Payne Williams also showed his strength by providing six touchdowns with extra points as well as kicking a 24-yard field goal to lock down three additional points.
The Tigers practice long and hard and their efforts are made clear through the results. With a five game win streak, St. Mary’s is positioned as the school to beat. The Tigers are preparing to roar past Montgomery at this year’s homecoming game that is to be played this Friday, Oct. 21.
But at this time, the Natchitoches Times would like to wish a speedy and graceful recovery to junior Ben Bienvenu who has had a phenomenal season!
