Permits for the long-awaited demolition of the Hopeville Apartments on Second Street and renovation of a former washateria on Texas Street are among the 30 permits issued in October according to the report from Director of Planning and Zoning Shontrell Roque. The valuation was $886,126.
The value of the permit to demolish the apartments was for $153,540, the amount of the bid from Regional Construction.
Among the commercial permits was one to GreyLew Ventures LLC for the renovation of the former washateria at 312 Texas St. valued at $35,841. It will be the Onyx Cigar and Wine Lounge.
Also of interest is a sign application valued at $22,000 by Commcare Natchitoches at 781 Hwy. 494 for a new nursing home.
University Parkway Properties secured a permit valued at $310,000 for renovation of the former LaCap building at 926 University Parkway that will be Java House Donuts.
