NCHS football team honors seniors

Cheerleaders lead the student section in school spirit-seniors wear T-shirts displaying the colleges they plan to attend.

Natchitoches Central Football hosted the Byrd Yellow Jackets Friday, Nov. 4 for their “senior night” game. Student fans packed the student section donning “USA” red, white and blue gear, in accordance with the patriotic theme. As the last game of the season, it was one of the best attended.

To honor their seniors, Natchitoches Central recognized their senior cheerleaders, dancers, band members, trainers and football players for their dedication. The yellowjackets (6-4), led the game with the first touchdown during the first quarter, followed by three more Byrd touchdowns in the second quarter.

The third quarter saw the final Byrd touchdown, leaving the score 34-0, Yellowjackets.

A 42-yard field goal by sophomore Mateo Restrepo left the final score 34-3, Yellowjackets. The Chief’s final record stands at 3-7.
