The Village of Natchez will host regularly scheduled distributions of commodities courtesy of the Council on Aging on Tues., Jan. 24 from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. for 50 pound parcels and Thur., Jan. 26 from 10:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. for 40 pound parcels outside the village hall. The village hall is closed for maintenance and will not be usable for distribution or storage of commodities, so recipients should plan to pick up commodities during the designated times. Village maintenance person, Joseph Fields will deliver commodity parcels to residents who are homebound or lack transportation.
Recipients will also need to bring proof of income and residency (ID) to be reinstated for 2023. New participants may sign up during the event or at the Council on Aging office at 1016 Keyser Avenue in Natchitoches. For more information, contact Mayor Patsy Ward-Hoover at 318/228-5144.
