A Natchitoches man was arrested for felony theft from Natchitoches Junior High School.
Reportedly, DeAubrey Collins, (B/M, 47) was hired to remove several scrap items from the school earlier this month. When school officials noticed some $140,000 worth of property that was to remain on campus had been removed, the police department was notified and an investigation ensued.
Collins attempted to return some of the property but many of the items had been taken apart, said officials. On May 18 Collins was arrested.
