Quick start for Lady Rebels sends them past NCHS

Natchitoches Central High School Lady Chiefs faced off against Pineville High School Lady Rebels. The first inning started with the Lady Rebels up to bat with Madison Holmes pitching. Lady Rebels Kacee Mertens hit a single and stole second base. Holmes walked Hailee Wilkins. The following batter, Maddie Evers bunted the ball allowing the runners to advance but she couldn’t reach first in time before getting out. The following Hanna Evers hit a single allowing Mertens to make it home. A catcher error allowed Wilkins to slide in back at third before being tagged out. With all the commotion at third base, Hanna Evers stole second base. The next Abbriel Robertson then hit a single allowing Wilkins to make it home but Robertson was out before making it to base. Rebels next Adelle Chapman came up ready to send the ball flying and she did, sending a home run over right field allowing herself and another Evers to make it home. Scoring 4 points in the first inning the Lady Rebels occupied the field once.
