For those that live within the city limits of Natchitoches please remember to contact Central Fire Station at 318-357-3860 to request a burn permit.
There will be a representative from the fire department come to your property and look at the items you wish to burn, assess if it is in a safe location and go over the rules which are on our burn permits which state the following: 1. According to State Law, burning must be conducted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
2. Someone shall remain with the fire at all times and shall have a garden hose available should the fire get out of control. The Fire Department will be notified immediately by dialing 911.
