Natchitoches Christmas Festival is Nov. 23 - Jan. 6 with parade Dec. 7. Every Saturday there is live music, kids activities, fireworks and more. Come Paint a Pumpkin at Ft St. John Baptiste State Historic Site through Oct. 26 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Fort staff will have individual size artificial pumpkins available for visitors to decorate. Anyone visiting the site will have the opportunity to decorate a pumpkin and take it home, while supplies last. All ages welcomed. For more information call 318/357-3101.
