Congratulations to the St. Mary’s Tigers for making the State Football Playoffs. They’ll be on the road Friday night to face Kentwood in the first round. It’s not a straight shot from here to Kentwood and it appears to be three and a half hours away no matter which route you take. Good luck to our Tigers.
Speaking of football… congratulations to the Natchitoches Central Chiefs in their season ending victory over Benton last week.
There is some local football this weekend as Northwestern State hosts McNeese at 1 p.m. in Turpin Stadium. It’s the Demons final home game. They close out the 2024 season at HCU (Houston Christian University) in Husky Stadium on November 23 at 2 p.m.
