Language and Culture Series will focus in Taiwan at Varnado Hall

Northwestern State University’s chapter of Phi Beta Delta will present this semester’s Language and Culture Series focusing on the Taiwan at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 in the Varnado Hall Ballroom. Dr. Chialing Hsieh will be guest lecturer offering insights into the language and culture of Taiwan. Hsieh is a pianist and associate professor of music at NSU.

Registration is free. Guests can register on-site at Varnado Hall. On-line registration is available through 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at pbd-taiwan.eventbrite.com The lecture will also be streamed via WebEx at the same time. Video recording will be available for registered attendees. Those who register online will receive the meeting link via email after registration.

The Phi Beta Delta Language and Culture Series supports funding for NSU students participating in international studies and expands all participants’ knowledge of diversified languages and cultures worldwide. Proceeds towards the Phi Beta Delta - NSU Eta Mu chapter scholarship fund. Phi Beta Delta is the honor society for international scholars.
