Louisiana Central announces New Certified Site near Vidalia

Louisiana Central announces that the Whitehall Industrial Site, located on the Mississippi River south of Vidalia, has officially received the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Certified Site designation. This recognition underscores that the site’s 520 acres is ready for industrial development, confirming that it meets the rigorous criteria set forth by the LED Certified Sites Program.

Louisiana Central meticulously oversaw the comprehensive due diligence process, ensuring the site’s compliance with legal controls, zoning regulations, surveys, title work, environmental studies, soil analysis, and public infrastructure engineering.

“Site certification and site development are important parts of our work,” Lafe Jones, Executive Vice President/COO at Louisiana Central said. “Having the certification designation allows us to have more detailed information about a site available to share with site selectors and industry leaders considering relocation. The program is a great partnership between the landowner, Louisiana Central, and LED.”
