The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has mobilized crews from across the state to assist the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in recovering from the impact of Hurricane Milton.
In total, DOTD has deployed 53 personnel with 84 pieces of debris removal and hauling equipment from six different districts across Louisiana.
The crews hail from districts in Bossier City, Monroe, Chase, Alexandria, Lake Charles and Baton Rouge. Each crew is comprised of 8-9 members who will be conducting debris removal operations in the heavily impacted counties of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee and Sarasota.
