Family, friends, former players, coaches and supporters joined Coach Mike McConathy Feb. 15 as Northwestern State University named the basketball court in Prather Coliseum in his honor.
A reception to announce the Doug Ireland Endowed Scholarship, created by Robert “Skeeter” Salim, took place Feb. 15 at Northwestern State University. The scholarship will benefit undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in communications, media and/or journalism.
