Last weekend was National Police Officers Day so Bellwood Baptist Church honored their two police officers which are Jimmy Smith and Lauren Cheatwood Smith. Jimmy posted the American flag while Lauren posted the Christian flag and their four-year-old son Tripp Smith held the Bible while the pledges were being recited. They were given a gift in appreciation for their service.
The Natchitoches Red Hat Sisters celebrated the September birthday of Betty Whitehead at Flying Hearts Restaurant Sept. 17. Those attending were from left, Wanda St. Andre. Betty, Debbie Waskom, Pete McCorkel, Liz Durr, Joan Sheffield and Becky Ham.
