Robeline police make traffic stop that leads to arrest of local man and find narcotics and firearms

A traffic stop by Robeline Police has led to the arrest of a Natchitoches man wanted by Natchitoches Police and the Natchitoches City Marshal’s Office on outstanding warrants which also resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and recovery of two stolen firearms according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.

The investigation began on Sunday, Nov. 10. shortly before 9:45 p.m. when Robeline Police stopped a 2016 Hyundai Accent on Texas St. in Robeline for a traffic violation.

Robeline Marshal Gill identified the driver of the vehicle as 24-yearold Kendrick M. Williams Jr. of Natchitoches. NPSO Dispatch informed Robeline Police that Williams had seven outstanding warrants through Natchitoches Police Department and the Natchitoches City Marshal’s Office. Williams was placed under arrest without incident Marshall Gill requested assistance from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Office because he smelled a strong marijuana odor.Two NPSO Deputies responded to assist.
