Symphony Society board members treat symphony after concert
The Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony Society board members entertained members of the symphony following their concert March 24 in Magale Recital Hall. President-Elect Samantha Thomas chaired the committee and furnished decorations for the serving tables in the practice room of the CAPA building. Past president Marion Johnston, President Mary Lou Brown and Phil Brown, Cecelia Smith, Gina McCorkel, Tish McKnight, David Young and Carolyn Roy assisted with the serving. The symphony members were treated to a number of dessert items prepared by board members, variety of pizzas, and enjoyed fellowship with their fellow musicians. The Symphony Society was formed 60 years ago to provide scholarships for orchestral musicians attending Northwestern State University. The society members increased funding in 2025 by $30,000.
