Veterans and Memorial Park to the annual Veterans Day Program

The Natchitoches Veterans and Memorial Park, Inc., will hold the annual Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, Nov 11, at 4 p.m.in the Veterans Park.If raining, the program will be held in the VFW/American Legion Post at 400 St. Denis Street.

Traffic stop turns into 38-mile chase that ends with 2 in hospital

A traffic stop and 38mile vehicle pursuit that ended in a singlevehicle crash on I-49 near Rapides Station in Rapides Parish resulted in the arrests of a male and female suspect, according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.On Wednesday, Oct. 29, at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Red River Sheriff’s Office apprehends Natchitoches suspect

The Red River Parish Sheriff ’s Office has apprehended Ernest Lard, who was wanted by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff ’s Office for First Degree Rape.Lard was taken into custody in Red River Parish on Oct. 31, at approximately 5:32 p.m. without incident.

NPD arrests woman for alleged part in shooting on South Drive

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday evening on South Drive. On Oct. 25 around 8:55 p.m., officers with the Natchitoches Police Department were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Drive in reference to gunshots in the area.
