Drivers Ed course at NSU

Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education will offer a driver education course Oct. 69 from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. in South Hall on the NSU campus. The class is available during the fall break for Natchitoches Parish Schools.

Gulf Coast visitors can ride Amtrak between Mobile and New Orleans

Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser last week joined Amtrak officials and a host of dignitaries for a ribbon cutting to launch a new passenger service, the Amtrak Mardi Gras Service. The twice daily service runs along the Gulf Coast between New Orleans and Mobile, AL with stops in Bay St.

Mini-golf fundraiser is Friday night

There will be a fundraiser for Cane River Discovery Center at Dark Woods Adventure Park Friday, Sept. 12.The mini-golf classic will be at the park at 4343 University Parkway from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be family games, food and fun for all ages.
