State C&E working with USGS to investigate cause of tremors

Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy (C&E) announced last week they are working closely with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and universities throughout the state in the attempt to establish a definitive cause for the recent series of earthquakes in the Red River Parish area.

Red River parish Sheriff ’s Office arrested Tabatha Martin, 38, on March 6 for 2 counts of failure to appear for criminal arraignment. She was incarcerated on 2 concurrent $25,000 bonds.Red River Parish Sheriff ’s Office arrested Ronald Bell, 30, on March 7 for failure to appear for criminal trials.

The winds accompanying our latest cold snap made the temperatures seem a lot cooler than they actually were.Sunday and Monday the winds stayed in double digits…getting as high as 22 miles per hour on a couple occasions.JT’s wind chimes got a workout the last few days and it sure was nice.
