School Board adopts year long block schedule

Natchitoches Parish High Schools are switching from a semester block schedule to a yearlong block schedule beginning with the 2026–2027 school year.The announcement was made during the School Board’s committee and regular meetings held on March 3 and March 10, respectively.

Marthaville school finalist for award

Marthaville Elementary & Jr. High School has been selected as a finalist for the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET) Founder’s Award, earning a $10,000 prize and national recognition for its work to strengthen teaching and improve student outcomes.
