Dedication reflects on OMC’s journey to recovery

Burn Ban Issued

Natchitoches Parish President John Salter has issued a parishwide outdoor burn ban. The ban went into effect Wednesday, Feb. 25, and remains in effect until dry weather conditions improve and the order is formally rescinded.

Parish Council continues funding for FAUNA group

The Parish Council voted to fund FAUNA $60,000 at its meeting Monday.FAUNA is an LLC formed by the consolidation of the Natchitoches Humane Society and Natchitoches Hope for Paws. It is the same amount the Council funded last year.

It’s hard to believe…but another regular session of the Louisiana Legislature is upon us.The next session of our lawmakers begins on Monday, March 9.There will be lots of interesting pieces of legislation up for discussion and one of them has to do with the Governor’s Office.
