Sunday, Old Bethel members sang happy birthday to Leslie Salley.Then we sang happy anniversary to Bro. Wayne and Leslie Salley. Other birthdays in December were John Bynog and Ryder Ammons, who were not present. Other anniversaries were Archie and Madeline Dore’. They were not present either.

Several new Louisiana laws go into effect Jan. 1.• The grace period for Louisiana’s expanded “hands-free” driving law ends, and law enforcement will begin issuing fines for violations.Drivers may not physically hold a mobile phone for any use while operating a vehicle, except for emergency calls.

La. DOTD will begin work on La.6 Jan.5

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises that on Monday, Jan. 5, construction will begin on LA6 Eastbound and Westbound in Natchitoches Parish. This work will begin on LA6 near Settles Boat Landing Road and proceed to the intersection with Route LA 1.
