Memorial services for Carolyn Litton Waxham 83, of Marthaville will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 at Beulah Methodist Church in Marthaville. Burial will follow in Beulah cemetery. Visitation will be from noon. until the time of service in the church.
Carolyn passed away from this life on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023 at The Glen Retirement System in Shreveport, Louisiana. Carolyn was born on Nov. 11, 1940 to her parents Ellis and Louella Litton.
Carolyn was preceded in death her by her parents and her loving husband Terry G. Waxham. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Clayton Waxham of Marthaville, LA; daughter, Tammy Waxham Johnson of Shreveport; sister, Mary Jewel of Bossier City; two grandchildren, Sterling Waxham of Houston and Wade Gandy of Keithville; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends in United States as well in the United Kingdom.
Carolyn retired from the Caddo Parish School after 25 years of service. After retirement she returned to Marthaville with her husband Terry where she lived the rest of years on her ancestor’s land. Carolyn loved her family, most of her time was spent taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and her cats and dogs. She attended Blue Ridge Methodist Church. She adored her pastor Bro. David Hill and the church family.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Carolyn’s pastor Bro. Hill, as well as all of the RN’s, LPN’s, Nursing Assistants, Cooks and Unit Clerks at The Glen Retirement System for all of the special care and attention given to Carolyn during her stay.
