Funeral services for Rickie Lane Yopp were Monday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Pagels officiating.
Burial followed at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Vowells Mill, LA. The family received friends for a visitation on Monday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. until service time at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Rickie Yopp, loving father and son, 68 years of age and a resident of Provencal, LA, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Nov. 22, 2023. Rickie was born Sept. 27, 1955 to Rhodie Lee and Claudia Holland Yopp in Shreveport LA. He was preceded in death by his father, Rhodie Lee Yopp and his beloved stepfather, Max Voigt.
For many years, Rickie worked in construction and ran the Bellwood/Kisatchie mail route for some time.
He loved playing pool with his best friend Benny, loved building and tinkering with his tool collection and was best known for his Sam Elliot mustache and black cowboy hat.
Rickie is survived by his mother, Claudia Holland Voigt; daughter, Regina Yopp Dunn and husband Clinton Dunn of Natchitoches. daughter Jessica Yopp Mobley and husband Brett Mobley of Denham Springs; his grandchildren, Andrew Caspari, Caleb Caspari and wife Hannah, Alex Caspari and Maci Claire Caspari; several great grandchildren; brother Randy Yopp and wife Louise; his niece, Amy Yopp Holman and husband Donald; nephew Jeremy Yopp and wife Elizabeth; and several great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Alex Caspari, Caleb Caspari, Andrew Caspari, Jeremy Yopp, Phillp Gandy and Ray Gandy. Honorary Pallbearers were Benjamin (Benny) Greene, Sr. and Jamie Crowley.
The family would like to extend a loving thank you to the NRMC Staff, paramedics on scene, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Deputies, Fire District 4, and all friends and family who helped, loved, supported and prayed with us during this difficult time. You will never know how much your kindness meant to us all.
