Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Scallion will be held on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024 at Creston Baptist Church at 2 pm. Burial will follow at Coulee Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a visitation at Creston Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Dorothy Lee Scallion was born on December 15, 1932 in Chopin, LA to Joseph Cliff Carnahan and Lacy White Carnahan. She is survived by her daughter Lora Russell Edgin and her husband Jack, and grandchildren, Ben Edgin and Leslie Haight and her husband Ben; daughter Sharon Russell Thornton and her husband Lynn, and grandchildren, Jake Russell, Mason Delacerda, and great-grandchildren, Brannan, Jace, Riley, Kenley, Dawson, and Corbin; her son, Darby and his wife, Monica Banker, and their children, Brooke and Porsha; her daughter, Pam Causey Standforth and her husband Jeff, and grandchildren, Elray Woods, Jr., Alicia Woods Young, Jason and Dawn Woods, and great-grandchildren, Zack, Logan, Katelyn, Carson, Jada, Asher, Avery, Brayden, Zaylee, Addison, and Emery; her son, James Timothy Causey and his wife, Debra Lynn Causey, their grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, James Darben, Jeremy Lee, Quinton J. Cody, Sativa, and Jason, their great-grandchildren, Jacob Johnson, Joshua Liam, Amber Lynn, Elisha Arron, Nathaniel Wayne, Lexi, Jetty Lynn, Jayce, Colton Wyatt, Jackson, Angeleeka, Crystal; great-great grandchildren, twins Gabrial and Noah, Kyler, Adam Mathews Fisher, Azalea Harmony, Maliah Jade, Atais Bernard Dudley (sweet tater); and son, Charles Ben (Lil’Bud) Causey, Jr. and his wife Karen Hughes Causey, their children, Ginger Causey and husband David, Megan Causey, Chelsea Causey Cox and husband K.C., Kryston Causey Gibson, Lacey Causey, and great-grandchildren, Macy and Ethan Hanrahan, Keith, Mia Grace, Madelyn, Kaden Cox, Aurora Ashmead, Krystoher, Ryan, and Bethany.
Our Mom. At the top of her list was God always. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She touched a lot of hearts and led a lot of people to Jesus. Our mom was the soul heart of our family. Always was a great cook, hard working, and most of all, the best mom that 6 kids could ask for. Dorothy Lee Scallion, a father, a mother, and an amazing woman. Thank you Jesus for a wonderful mom.
