Annie Mae (Troquille) Kerry May 21, 1932 March 4, 2024 A Mass for Christian Burial for Annie Mae (Troquille) Kerry will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Natchitoches. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin. On Friday, March 15, a wake will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis funeral home with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m.
Annie Mae was born in Cloutierville, LA, on May 21, 1932, to her beloved parents, Almond Troquille and Azalie (Basco) Troquille. Annie Mae passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, in Atlanta, GA. Annie Mae was a long-time resident of Leesville, LA, and resided in Atlanta for the past 4 years.
She was preceded in death by her loyal and loving husband of 60 years, MSG (Retired) Gilmore Kerry.
Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Ann Ryan (Tim) of Leesville, LA, Frieda Witt (Paul) of Colorado Springs, CO, Vanessa Russell (Steven) of Atlanta, GA, Letitia Kerry of Shreveport, LA, and three sons, Gerald Kerry (Brigit) of Abita Springs, LA, Nathan Kerry of Atlanta, GA, and Gilmore Kerry, Jr. (Kathy) of Fairview, TX, and six grandchildren, Jessica Ryan and Christopher Ryan of Leesville, LA, Meghan Kerry of Abita Springs, LA, Ethan Kerry and Jacob Kerry of Fairview, TX, and Dillon Kerry of Atlanta, GA.
She is preceded in death by her cherished sisters, Ada Troquille, Mildred Vercher, Agnes Bynog, Reba Gongre, Rita Moser; and brothers, John Freeman Troquille, Artis Troquille, and Jimmy Ray Troquille.
Annie Mae had an abundance of love in her life; she loved her children, grandchildren, her extended family and always thought kindly of others. She could light up a room with her smile. Her family and her community loved her dearly as a devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend.
