Cullyne was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love and support formed the foundation of her family.

She ensured her family felt unconditionally loved and cared for, attending every moment, big or small, with unwavering support. To her friends and other family members, she was a pillar of strength, always there with her kindness and care, touching the lives of everyone around her.

In addition, Cullyne was a dedicated school teacher in Louisiana for 33 years. Her passion for education and commitment to her students made a lasting impact. Her enthusiasm for teaching, coupled with her dedication, shaped the lives of countless students and left a legacy that will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of learning from her.

She had a remarkable ability to foster confidence, inspire curiosity, and create a supportive classroom environment. Her love for her students was evident in every lesson she taught and every life she touched.

Cullyne was born to Linnie Roy Simms Scott and William Cullen Scott on Aug. 8, 1939 in Natchitoches, La. She died at the age of 86 in Mission Vieja, CA on July 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents. and son, Roderick “Rod” Edward Brady.

Cullyne is survived by her daughters, Charlane René Brady and Cecelia Brady Gonzalez; her son-in-law, Joe Gonzalez; her grandchildren, Gabriella Cullyne Gonzalez and Joseph Gonzalez; Joseph’s wife, Sophia Gonzalez; hergreat- grandchildren, Max Gonzalez and Gwen Gonzalez; her brother, William Clint Scott; and her sister-inlaw, Vernaughn Scott.

In accordance with Cullyne’s wishes, there will be no public service.

She will be laid to rest beside her son, Rod, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pineville LA.
