“It was awesome,” Theresa Matheson said of her first and only skydiving jump. The jump was on her bucket list and her son paid for the jump to mark her 80th birthday. Matheson was visiting family in New Hampshire but flew to Maine for the jump. She had to have a doctor’s examination of her heart to get approved for the jump. The plane was up 2.6 miles, she was in free fall for one and one-half miles and fell at 34 feet per second.
