In anticipation of heavy rains, thunderstorms and wind gusts associated with Tropical Storm Francine, the Natchitoches Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, along with the City of Natchitoches, had sandbags available for residents to pick up Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 110 Mill Street (Old Public Works Building). Pictured is Tony Jernigan loading sandbags into the truck of one of numerous vehicles lined up.
