Northwestern State finished off the day at the North Texas Diving Eagle Invite on a strong note.
The Demons put juniors Maria Farina and Zoi Spyrou together for the first time this fall and it paid of in the form of a 6-1 win against Texas State’s tandem of Tadiwa Mauchi and Emily Niers. The pair also picked up a win against UTArlington’s pairing of Adela Latalova and Maria Lucia Araoz.
Farina also paired up with freshman Valeria Ortega in their only doubles match of the day, coming up just short 7-6 (2) in a loss against Louisiana Tech’s Soha Singh and Nina Skoric.
