The Student Tuition Assistance & Revenue Trust (START) program is an innovative college savings plan designed to help families contend with the growing costs of educating their children after high school. Recently, Louisiana’s START Saving Program was ranked 9th in the 529 Quarterly Performance Ranking by Saving For College.
Each quarter, Saving For College analyzes the investment returns for thousands of 529 portfolios and ranks the 529 savings plans based on the overall performance of?age-based and target-year portfolios?offered by each plan.
In the ten-year investment performance, the START Saving Program ranks 9th with an average return of 5.84%, as the ten-year performance ranking provides the best measure of long-term investment performance.
