The senior and kindergarten classes at St. Mary’s Catholic School recently had their “Buddy Reveal” where they learned who they were partnered with for the school year. St. Mary’s has an established tradition of having a Kindergarten Buddy program. The kindergarten students are assigned a Senior Buddy throughout the year as a mentor. They meet frequently during the year, attend field trips and enjoy a variety of fun activities together. This year for the Buddy Reveal, the senior student placed one shoe in a pile with a name on it and the kindergarten student had to find the shoe with their own name and match the shoe to their senior buddy. It was an added twist to introduce the new buddies as they begin this enduring tradition together.
