A recognition ceremony will take place on Friday, Oct. 18 to honor the 2024 Natchitoches Treasures. The Natchitoches Treasures are a select group of retirees in Natchitoches who have made significant and lasting contributions to the community through their generosity, service, volunteerism, and spirit.
The recognition ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Natchitoches Events Center at 750 Second Street. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is open to the public and the media.
The 2024 Natchitoches Treasures were chosen by a committee composed of previous Natchitoches Treasures. Treasures have been selected annually since 2008 based on nominations from community members.
The 2024 Natchitoches Treasures are Roy Ceaser, Robert Gillan, Mark Guidry, Gayle Howell, Jack & Brenda Ingram, and Syll-Young Olson. The recognition ceremony will highlight the contributions made by each newly elected Treasure to the City of Natchitoches and the community and pay tribute to past Natchitoches Treasures.
