On Saturday, Oct. 20, around 12:45 a.m., Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau stopped a 2021 Nissan Titan for an altered license plate while patrolling on La. Hwy 6 East near Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches.
The driver was identified as 52-year-old Erica A. Graves of Montgomery. Deputies say while speaking with Graves during the traffic stop, she indicated that she made the temporary license plate because she didn’t have the money to register the vehicle. She went on to say that she had a prior arrest for forgery and narcotics offenses.”
Deputies contacted a towing service to impound the vehicle. During an inventory of the vehicle, deputies discovered approximately 3.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia consisting of a glass smoking pipe, digital weighing scales and several cellophane baggies commonly used to store illegal narcotics.
